Loto Chile in a nutshell
Loto is Chile’s main lottery game, run by Polla Chilena de Beneficencia, the state-owned operator whose proceeds support charitable and public causes. Players choose six numbers from 1 to 41, a relatively small pool that keeps the jackpot odds at about one in 4.5 million. For extra stakes, the same ticket can enter additional draws such as Revancha and Desquite, which give further chances to win with the same numbers. Draws take place several times a week and the jackpot rolls over until it is won.
How to play Loto Chile
- Choose six different numbers from 1–41, or let a Quick Pick choose them for you.
- Wait for the draw and compare your line with the winning numbers; the order does not matter.
- The top prize needs all six main numbers; smaller combinations win lower prizes set by the operator.
What are the odds in Loto Chile?
A single Loto Chile line has a 1 in 4,496,388 chance of winning the top prize – that is the number of different combinations the draw can produce. Getting at least three main numbers right is far more common, about one line in 32, while a result of five main numbers happens about once in 21,411 lines.
Among the 88 lotteries on this site, Loto Chile ranks number 8 for jackpot odds, where number 1 is the easiest. In Latin America, Lotofácil (1 in 3.3 million) has better odds and Quini 6 (1 in 9.4 million) is harder. Compared with US Powerball, the jackpot is about 65 times easier to hit.
Playing two lines in two draws every week – 208 lines a year – you would wait on average around 21,617 years for one jackpot, so the jackpot is something to dream about rather than plan for.
Using the Loto Chile tools on this page
For a quick pick, the generator above builds random Loto Chile lines – as many as ten at once – and checks that every number fits the 1–41 range. The odds tab breaks down every possible result, while the demo draw runs a realistic draw with your own numbers. In the demo you tap six numbers on a 41-ball board, or let Quick Pick do it.
The simulator goes further: ten years of two lines twice a week means 2,080 lines, and on average about 61 of them would match exactly three main numbers while the chance of a top prize in that time is only about 1 in 2,162. Remember that a random line has exactly the same chance as any other; its real advantage is that you are less likely to share a prize with players who pick birthdays.
