Melate Retro in a nutshell
Melate Retro is the smaller sibling of Melate, also run by Pronósticos in Mexico. It brings back the spirit of the original, simpler Melate: six numbers from a pool of only 39. That smaller pool makes it one of the easiest six-number jackpots in the Americas, with odds of about one in 3.3 million – roughly ten times better than the main Melate. The trade-off is a much smaller jackpot, but for players who prefer a realistic shot at a meaningful prize, Melate Retro is the better maths.
How to play Melate Retro
- Choose six different numbers from 1–39, or let a Quick Pick choose them for you.
- Wait for the draw and compare your line with the winning numbers; the order does not matter.
- The top prize needs all six main numbers; smaller combinations win lower prizes set by the operator.
What are the odds in Melate Retro?
A single Melate Retro line has a 1 in 3,262,623 chance of winning the top prize – that is the number of different combinations the draw can produce. Getting at least three main numbers right is far more common, about one line in 28, while a result of five main numbers happens about once in 16,478 lines.
Among the 88 lotteries on this site, Melate Retro ranks number 4 for jackpot odds, where number 1 is the easiest. In Latin America, Lotofácil (1 in 3.3 million) is harder. Compared with US Powerball, the jackpot is about 90 times easier to hit.
Playing two lines in two draws every week – 208 lines a year – you would wait on average around 15,686 years for one jackpot, so the jackpot is something to dream about rather than plan for.
Using the Melate Retro tools on this page
The number generator gives you up to ten Melate Retro lines in the exact format of the game, using your browser’s cryptographic random generator. Next to it you will find the full odds table and a demo draw you can repeat as often as you like. In the demo you tap six numbers on a 39-ball board, or let Quick Pick do it.
The simulator goes further: ten years of two lines twice a week means 2,080 lines, and on average about 70 of them would match exactly three main numbers while the chance of a top prize in that time is only about 1 in 1,569. Random numbers do not change your chances, but they do avoid the dates and patterns thousands of other players choose, which matters when a jackpot is shared.
