Lotomania
pick 50 from 00–99, 20 drawn

Uses your browser’s cryptographic random generator. Every combination has the same chance.

What is Lotomania?

Lotomania is unlike almost any other lottery in the world. The grid has 100 numbers, from 00 to 99, and you mark 50 of them – half the board. Twenty numbers are then drawn. You win the top prize by matching all 20, and you also win prizes for matching 15 to 19, and, unusually, for matching none at all. Because the player chooses so many numbers, the maths is completely different from a 6/49 game, and the odds of the top prize are about one in 11.4 million.

How Lotomania works

  1. Mark 50 numbers on a grid running from 00–99 – you are choosing more numbers than will be drawn.
  2. In the draw, 20 numbers come out of the pool of 100.
  3. Check your line once the numbers are drawn – only which numbers match counts, not their order.
  4. The top prize needs all 20 drawn numbers inside your 50; smaller combinations win lower prizes set by the operator.

Your chances in Lotomania

The draw can produce 11,372,636 different results, which means the jackpot odds for one line are 1 in 11,372,636. Lower down the table the picture changes quickly: a result of 19 main numbers turns up about once in 352,552 lines, and at least fifteen correct main numbers about once in 88 lines.

In Latin America, Quini 6 (1 in 9.4 million) has better odds and Baloto (1 in 15.4 million) is harder. Compared with US Powerball, the jackpot is about 26 times easier to hit. Among the 88 lotteries on this site, Lotomania ranks number 27 for jackpot odds, where number 1 is the easiest.

Playing two lines in two draws every week – 208 lines a year – you would wait on average around 54,676 years for one jackpot, so the jackpot is something to dream about rather than plan for.

Free Lotomania tools

Start with the generator: it produces random Lotomania lines in the correct format, from one line to ten, and you can copy them in one click. Switch to the odds tab for the chance of each combination, or open the demo to play a free draw. In the demo you fill the whole 100-number board yourself, which shows how different this format is.

The simulator goes further: ten years of two lines twice a week means 2,080 lines, and on average about 19 of them would match exactly fifteen main numbers while the chance of a top prize in that time is only about 1 in 5,468. A random line is no luckier than your favourite numbers, yet it spreads your picks across the whole range instead of the 1–31 that birthday players crowd into.
